The Ride Stuff

The adventures of a couple of happy bikers

After seven long months, Jess finally had surgery today (including a bone graft from her hip) to fix her broken collar-bone resulting from her accident in January.

The operation went well and she is now recuperating at home. The down side is that she now has to have her shoulder immobilised for six weeks, which is easier said than done for her!

UPDATE [6 Sep 2012]: Jess went to the hospital today for a follow-up appointment. The Doctor is very pleased with her progress and has taken the stitches out. The wound looks very neat and tidy – almost like it was super-glued together.

UPDATE [4 Oct 2012]: Jess is still at home and very b.o.r.e.d. She is also nagging me to take her out on my bike. It must mean that she is feeling better. 😉
